Whose that girl? Pixie Lott looks unrecognisable in a brunette wig in the video for new single Gravity

People catching a glimpse of Pixie Lott's new video could be forgiven for wondering just who was singing.

The blonde teenager looks unrecognisable as she dons a brunette bobbed wig for her new promo Gravity.

In a feathered mini-dress, thigh-high boots and heavy make-up, Lott looks a world away from her usual style of cute mini-dresses and hippie hairbands.

The video, which premiered on T4 on Channel 4 on Saturday, features Lott performing a variety of dance styles.

Gravity, the fourth single from her debut album Turn It Up, tells the story of a woman fighting hard to leave her lover, but keeps getting pulled back to him, just like gravity.

In the video, Pixie tries her hand at ballet, contemporary and burlesque dancing in a selection of different outfits.

Gravity is set for release on February 22, and Lott is hoping the song will be as successful as her previous singles.
In the past eight months, Lott has had two numbers ones with Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh) and Boys & Girls and a number 12 hit with her ballad Cry Me Out.

The 19-year-old is preparing for the Brit Awards later this month, where she is up for three Brits Awards.

She has been nominated for British Female Solo Artist, British Breakthrough Act and British Single at the ceremony, which takes place on February 16.

Lott attended the awards herself two years ago when she was a student at the Italia Conti stage school.

She recalled: 'They invite stage schools to fill the audience, so two years ago, when Amy Winehouse performed, I was there, screaming with my friends in the rehearsals.

'The bit on the floor is where the kids go and the bit above is where they have the tables, so we were all looking up going, “Wow...” I had no idea that the year after I’d be up there.’

Meanwhile, Lott admitted she is thinking of getting a tattoo in honour of her fans after seeing Lady GaGa's new etching last week.

She said: 'I was thinking of getting a tattoo but I don't want to get it where you can see it - I could get a tattoo for my fans like Lady GaGa did.'
